Meet the Team

At Sol Speech Therapy, we are a passionate team dedicated to helping individuals of all ages achieve their full potential in communication and overcome the challenges they face. Led by our founder, Natalie Nunez, M.S. CCC-SLP, we bring a wealth of expertise and a commitment to evidence-based practice to every therapy session. Our speech language pathologists (SLP) are experienced in evaluating and treating pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients in a variety of settings including private practices, public school districts, acute care hospitals, and specialized schools.

They specialize in working with expressive and receptive language disorders/delays, articulation/phonological disorders, feeding/swallowing, social communication, autism spectrum disorders, aphasia, fluency, dysarthria, Augmentative and Alternative Communication, cognitive-communication disorders, and traumatic brain injuries. Natalie Nunez, M.S. CCC-SLP

Natalie is the heart and soul of Sol Speech Therapy. Her educational background includes a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Seton Hall University and a Bachelor of Science degree from Montclair State University. With extensive experience across hospitals, private practices, schools, and early intervention programs, she offers a comprehensive understanding of how to best support her clients.

Natalie specializes in working with late talkers, receptive and expressive language disorders, articulation and phonological processing disorders, autistic individuals, and bilingual speakers, bringing a unique blend of empathy and expertise to every session. She also works with adults with aphasia, dysphagia, and cognitive weaknesses (e.g. memory loss).

She is a strong believer in evidenced-based practice and constantly pursues continuing education to provide the most effective, research-backed therapies. Natalie is a Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist. She has received AAC evaluation, customization, and implementation training. Natalie is fluent in Spanish and makes her services accessible in both languages.

With Natalie's guidance, countless families have witnessed remarkable results and experienced the difference that compassionate, evidence-based therapy can make. Natalie helps guide each family through the process of receiving speech therapy services, collaborating with other professionals (e.g. occupational therapists), and advocating for their loved ones' needs.

Andrea Badiola, M.A. CCC-SLP

Andrea Badiola is a bilingual (English/Tagalog) speech-language pathologist. She earned her Master of Arts degree in Speech-Language Pathology at Montclair State University.

Andrea has treated patients in a variety of settings including home based early intervention, schools, and private clinics. Andrea has experience working with children with articulation, receptive and expressive language delays, social skills deficit, voice, fluency, and motor planning disorders. She also has experience with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). Andrea is certified in the More Than Words Hanen program for parents of children with autism or social communication difficulties.

Andrea holds the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language and Hearing Association and is licensed to practice speech-language pathology in New Jersey and Colorado. She also holds her Speech-Language Specialist certification from the New Jersey Department of Education.

Linda Dorf, MA CCC-SLP

Linda Dorf, MA CCC-SLP, is a dedicated speech-language pathologist specializing in working with young children facing language delays, autism, and social communication disorders. With a deep commitment to the well-being of her young clients, Linda’s mission is to empower children to express themselves and connect with the world around them. Linda’s individualized, child-directed approach builds on each child’s unique interests, strengths, and developmental level and fortifies the circle of communication between parent and child as communication and play partners as they engage in functional and pretend play activities. This approach is based on DIR® Floortime, developed by Stanley Greenspan, MD, and Serena Weider, PhD.

With an extensive background as a speech-language pathologist in school settings, Linda is also dedicated to enhancing literacy skills in her students. Her focus areas include decoding, comprehension, and writing. Her holistic approach incorporates evidence-based methods inspired by the Lindamood-Bell reading program.
Linda also provides evidence-based therapy for articulation disorders, drawing from her wide experience addressing phonological and articulation challenges in the school environment. Her methods are based on PROMPT therapy and address phonemic and phonological skills, as well as broader language comprehension and production.

Through these methods, she tailors her therapy to each child’s specific needs, helping each one build the skills necessary for success in school and daily life. Beyond her extensive therapy expertise, Linda is also a compassionate advocate for the children she serves.

Melissa Blum, M.S. CCC-SLP

Melissa Blum has been a pediatric Speech Language Pathologist for 9 years. She earned her Bachelor and Master's degrees in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology with a minor in Psychology from Northeastern University.

She is licensed to practice in New Jersey and is nationally accredited by ASHA (the American Speech and Language Association).

Melissa has worked in the New Jersey public school setting with preschool and early elementary students. She has treated children with autism spectrum disorder, articulation disorders, and language delays.

Melissa became a speech pathologist to help ensure that all children have a way to communicate, because everybody has something important to say!
